WHERE TO STAY: Hotel recommendation
We stayed at the Maison Colbert Melia Collection. We have stayed here before and absolutely love this hotel. It is very well located on the left bank of the Seine in walking distance to Notre Dame. This boutique hotel is housed in a historic building in the heart of the Latin quarter. The hotel’s interior was recently renovated inspired in the impressionist art of Sorolla (a well known Spanish artist). The spaces and decor are dreamy.

If it’s your first time visiting Paris, I recommend starting out with a tour during your first days there. I love doing this in new cities I visit as it helps you easily see the most important landmarks, get an idea of the city and you can start mapping out plans. The Hop on Hop off bus is always a great way to get to know the overall city layout quickly.
WHERE TO GO: le marais

Explore Le Marais, nestled between the 3rd and 4th arrondissement and just north of the Seine, this little neighborhood is the absolute cutest. Its narrow cobblestone streets, hidden gardens and surprise courtyards make it such a charming area. This district owes a lot of its charm to the its architecture. It houses many 17th Century private mansions featuring massive entrances through which horse-drawn carriages could enter. The doors here were to die for. (I have an obsession with beautiful doors so I loved walking down every street in Le Marais)
Insider tip: don’t miss out on Place de Vosges. It’s the oldest square in Paris and it’s dreamy.
WHERE TO GO: Luxembourg Gardens

Located in St. Germaine, this is one of the most beautiful gardens in Paris. It is 55 acres of perfection with sprinkled statues throughout. The park is grounded by the Palais du Luxenbourg, now the French senate.
Insider tip: you cannot miss the Fountaine de Medici.
WHERE TO GO: Palais Royal
One of the most stunning place we visited, which I had never seen before, was the Colonnes de Buren at Palais Royal. We got there at 9 am and it was completely empty! Perfect time and place for a photo shoot, most of all since the black and white columns have such a Sip Studio vibe. I absolutely loved this courtyard. It’s in walking distance to the Louvre.

WHERE TO GO: Montmartre

Montmartre is such a Parisian gem and I am so glad we spent an entire day exploring its old cobblestone streets and historic houses. We started by climbing stairs to the ever beautiful Sacre-Coeur. This beautiful monument sitting on top of a mountain has some of the most beautiful views of Paris. Montmartre was known to be the home of many famous artists and you see the artistic influence throughout. Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Bernard called this place home.
Grab lunch or dinner at La Maison Rose! It is walking distance from Sacre Coeur. We walked through squares full of cafes and artists painting. This area has such a special vibe. Also, you have to make a pit stop at Biscuiterie de Montmartre. They make the most incredible macaroons and sugar cookies. I am sure you won’t miss it because it literally floods the streets with the smell of freshly baked butter cookies.

WHERE TO GO: shopping
You can’t go to Paris and not go to Gallerie Lafayette, the dreamiest shopping experience. Grab a coffee at their cafe and explore the different floors of this stunning fashion house. The perfume section is unreal and the way everything is displayed makes you feel like you’re at a museum. This is an experience you can’t miss. The top floor also gives you access to the rooftop which has spectacular views of the city.

I hope you plan your trip to this beautiful city and you visit some of the places I love. I feel like this city gets more magical the more you visit and I cannot wait to go back and keep exploring.
